那是我刚上初一的时候，因为贪玩，有没有人督促我学习，我的各门功课成绩都下滑了。我当时心里很不是滋味，也想过要认真，可是经不住外界的诱惑，总是玩得连作业都忘了做，我的成绩越来越差。渐渐地，我对学习失去了兴趣，更没有信心重新变回在小学时的样子了。

有一次放假回家时，我被爸爸狠狠地训了一顿，他说我现在变了，不像小的时候了。其实当时我心里也很难受，我也想好好学习，可是我管不住我自己。然后，我就想偷偷溜到爷爷家去玩，躲开爸爸。我就这样闷闷不乐[注: 闷闷：心情不舒畅，心烦。形容心事放不下，心里不快活。]地在路上走着，道路两旁田野里成片的麦子，就像海洋里金色的波浪一样随风起舞。可是我没有心思欣赏这样的美景，低着头慢慢地向爷爷家的方向挪动着。

突然，一只可爱的小蜗牛进入了我的视线，当时的我，心情为之一振。我于是捉住了它，把它带到爷爷家。我找了一个玻璃瓶，把蜗牛放了进去。开始，蜗牛缩在壳了，一动不动。过了一会儿，它探出了头，沿着玻璃瓶内壁往上爬，可是玻璃瓶很光滑，蜗牛爬了一会儿，就滑了下来。但是蜗牛并没有放弃，它又重新向上爬。我高兴地“欣赏”这滑稽的一幕，我不相信它能从我的玻璃瓶里爬出来。这时候，我听到小伙伴叫我的声音，我就出去玩了。

一直到天黑，我才回到爷爷家。我一到家，就想起了那只小蜗牛，便飞快地跑过去，我看见那只小蜗牛竟然爬到了玻璃瓶口。我大吃一惊，不敢相信这是真的。我原本以为这只蜗牛最后会在玻璃瓶中等死，但它却爬到了瓶口。小蜗牛的举动让我内心震撼，我小心翼翼[注: 翼翼：严肃谨慎。本是严肃恭敬的意思。现形容谨慎小心，一点不敢疏忽。]地捧起小蜗牛，把它放进爷爷家屋后的田里。我感觉我还不如一直小小的蜗牛，在学习上遇到一点困难就想放弃，蜗牛能做到的我却没能做到。
